This week, members of the Bellmont Partners team headed to the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome to help coordinate a day of fun and games honoring some special kids who have made a difference in their schools.
The Metrodome’s Mall of America Field was filled with students and program advisors representing 30 schools from across Minnesota as they gathered for a nutrition and NFL-themed training camp. The annual event, put on by client Midwest Dairy and the Minnesota Vikings, rewarded students for their efforts and achievements with Fuel Up to Play 60, an in-school program that encourages students to eat healthy and get active.
Viktor the Vikings’ mascot, Minnesota dairy farmer Kristine Spadgenske, Vikings’ quarterback Matt Cassel, and Princess Kay of the Milky Way Christine Reitsma stopped by to promote the program’s mission, which encourages kids to make healthier choices and commit to at least 60 minutes of physical activity each day.
The event’s message resonated across the state as it was covered by KSTP, KARE 11, WCCO TV and radio, Minnesota Farm Network, St. Paul Pioneer Press, The Farmer and Hoard’s Dairyman. More than 200 students and teachers left the event inspired and ready to make a difference in their schools.
