This week marked the official start to the 52nd Uptown Art Fair season. On Wednesday, commemorative artist Brian Delozier’s “Wings Over Uptown” was unveiled and introduced as the 2015 commemorative print. We’re excited to dive into our third year as the Uptown Association’s public relations partner to tell all the amazing stories that surround Minnesota’s second highest-attended event.
MinnPost’s Pamela Espeland led her Artscape column today with a glowing review of the print, which is made up of more than 600,000 dots. Delozier – whose story was recently chronicled in a documentary called Brian’s Dots – credits his discovery of pointillism as life-saving after he was paralyzed from the chest down in a 2002 skiing accident. We’re thrilled to spend a great deal of time this summer with both him and the Uptown Association as the August 7-9 Uptown Art Fair approaches!
