For the past three months, Bellmont Partners has been working closely with longtime client JNBA Financial Advisors to help a new philanthropic event find its footing in Minnesota.
When former Minnesota Viking Greg Jennings and his wife Nicole moved their popular Greg Jennings Celebrity Golf Classic to town after seven successful years in Kalamazoo and Milwaukee, they knew they’d need to focus on building awareness among Twin Cities golfers, sponsors and partners. Working with the team at JNBA, Bellmont Partners lent a hand with an ongoing campaign designed to get the word out in Minnesota media.
The event – held Monday at Rush Creek Golf Club, with client Starkey Hearing Technologies as the presenting sponsor – benefits The Greg Jennings Foundation, which provides grants to organizations that focus on youth education. Despite a torrential downpour early in the morning, the clouds soon parted and celebrities – from Arizona Cardinal Larry Fitzgerald to actors Christopher and Kyle Massey to Vikings Adam Thielen, Charles Johnson, Josh Robinson and Kyle Rudolph, and many others — golfed side-by-side with Minnesota supporters, wrapping things up with a live and silent auction and dinner.
To say we’re thrilled to be a part of this team is an incredible understatement. Greg recently signed with the Miami Dolphins, but the couple and their kids continue to call Minnesota home, and are committed to giving back to the community. Past years’ grants have gone to Minnesota organizations like Agape Child Development Center, Boys and Girls Club of Twin Cities, Catholic Charities of Minneapolis and St. Paul, Hospitality House Youth Development and Minds Matter Twin Cities. While this year’s total isn’t in yet, last year the event raised more than $126,000.
